Many seasoned educators believe that students learn from the culture of school as much as they learn from the curriculum. What happens outside of the classroom may be as important as what happens in it.
At CCHS, we work to promote vibrant student life. In our many student-life activities, students get a sense of the leader that God calls them to be. They find an opportunity to grow the gifts he has given them and to participate in the broad and beautiful life of the Kingdom. They also have fun–a lot of fun!
Calvin Christian is a small and growing community. If you spend a little time with us, you will sense an energy, a kind of electricity in the air. We believe it is the Spirit of Christ shaping us to better follow him through a rich array of student-life activities that make up the culture of Calvin Christian High School.
CCHS Student Vision 2010-2011
Because God intended for us to learn in a community, we will rejoice in each other and in our learning.
Because God created us to have loving relationships with others, we will respect our peers as well as those in authority over us.
Because God calls us to work together toward redemption, we will keep each other accountable spiritually and academically.
Because God has given us different strengths and weaknesses, we, in humility, will learn to recognize, encourage, and cultivate those gifts in others and ourselves.
Through all of the above, we strive to imitate the redeeming love God showed us in Christ.
