Mrs. Julie Amen

AAAmenMrs. Julie Amen is the Challenge Program Coordinator at CCS. She also teaches 8th grade language arts. Mrs. Amen holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and music (piano performance) from Concordia College-Moorhead and a Master of Arts in Gifted Education from the University of St. Thomas.

The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis, Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery, Les Miserables by Victor Hugo, and The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom.

Favorite thing about working at CCS:
I love developing relationships with kids and helping them develop their unique gifts while they are at Calvin.

I look forward to so many things: 5th Grade Math Masters Competition, Middle School Newspaper, “Knights and Castles” (grade 1) and Detective Club (grade 2), 7th Grade Mock Trial, 8th Grade Memoirs, and Faith Stories.
