Mr. Scott Ross

AARossMr. Scott Ross teaches 6th-8th grade geography, history, and computer. He has a B.S. degree in secondary education and history from Dordt College. He also has a Keyboarding Technology Certification and an M.A. in Education from Hamline University.


Favorite book:
Undaunted Courage by Stephen Ambrose, which tells the story of the Lewis and Clark expedition.


Favorite scripture verse:
Romans 8:28: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”


Favorite thing about working at CCS:
I enjoy the close relationship between the parents and staff.


Favorite learning activity:
Every year, I look forward to watching A Tale of Two Cities with my World History class and helping them draw out themes of redemption from it.

From a recent graduate: “After struggling for a couple of months trying to stay organized in high school, I went out and bought a binder and went back to the organization system you taught us.”


Fun or fascinating fact:
I sing Happy Birthday in a unique opera style to all of my homeroom students and upon request to other students, staff members, and parents.
