Favorite book:
The Same Kind of Different as Me by Ron Hall and Denver Moore.

Favorite scripture verse:
Jeremiah 29:11: “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”

Favorite thing about working at CCS:
The thing I enjoy the most about working at CCS is sharing my faith with my students. Chances for me to articulate and display my love and awe for Jesus occur often throughout each day. It is a blessing to be able to see growth in my students’ faith throughout the year as well.

Favorite learning activity:
Concentrated Study is something I look forward to teaching each year. At CCS, we take two weeks each year to focus our learning about a different country. We have many speakers and special events during the study. I always end up learning so much!

Favorite student quote:
Student: Mrs. Johnson, how old are you?
Me: 46.
Student: Oh, that’s an age that is still close to being a kid, isn’t it?
Me: Yes!

Fun or fascinating facts:
I love teaching kindergarten! Five and six year olds are typically excited, eager learners and very good at imaginative play and ideas.  I love spending my days with them!
