Favorite scripture verse:
Micah 6:8: “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
Favorite thing about working at CCS:
I enjoy personal relationships with students, parents, and fellow colleagues. I enjoy the encouragement of a Christian community and working together towards the Kingdom.
Favorite learning activity:
I enjoy the justice paper that students write in their senior year, and I enjoy reading Fahrenheit 451 with the freshman class.
Favorite student quote:
Part of a senior autobiography:
“The beautiful thing about all of this, is that no matter how many wrong turns I made, how many cues I missed, or however unnecessarily I complicated my journey, God never stopped searching for me. There is redemption in my story, and I hope that one day I’ll be brave enough to share it with people. I want people to know that it’s not about being perfect and having it all figured out. Whatever we have done and wherever we are in this exact moment is precisely where the road to heaven begins. God wants us just as we are, even if that’s a broken mess.”
