Annual Fund

This year’s theme at Calvin Christian School is “Flourish!”  Students and teachers are exploring together how God’s promise that the righteous will flourish is manifested in their lives and learning.

Every child is endowed by God with special gifts and abilities, and is called to develop those gifts for God’s glory.  Helping each student flourish as God intended means providing a comprehensive education.  Our Learning Resource and Challenge Programs at the elementary campuses and individualized learning opportunities at the high school help students who learn at different rates or in different ways. Our arts programs allow students to express diverse emotions, thoughts, and ideas as they reflect God’s creativity in their creativity.

Needs-based scholarships put the opportunity to flourish in reach of families who would otherwise not be able to give their children the benefits of Christian education.  This year, more than $500,000 of financial aid has been provided to approximately a third of our families.

These three vital areas—the arts, learning support programs, and financial aid—are the focus of our Annual Fund Drive for 2014-15.  Together they account for about 22 percent of our annual operating costs, or approximately $1,000,000.  We look to our generous supporting community to provide $640,000 of that $1 million.  We give thanks that more than half the need has already been met as we come up on the end of the calendar year.
